How are you supposed to start a solo game?

How are you supposed to start a solo game?

Right now I have to click Play Now after I have added a random friend to invite (since it won't let me click Play Now unless I do) and then I have to expell my friend and change the number of players to 1.

There has got to be some other way, no?

Change the mode to 'training mode'. Then you can reduce the number of players to one.
