ELO appears broken for Tichu?

I was looking at the results of my ELO after a game of Tichu and I noticed I lost points because the game considered me tying with my partner as a negative result. Obviously, being that we are on the same team, that is broken.

The rules are implemented correctly. In the official rules ( https://www.fatamorgana.ch/tichu/tichu_english.asp ) it says: whoever plays the Mah Jong has a free wish, that is, he is allowed to wish for a certain rank (for example an 8 or an Ace, but not a special card). Pretty sure the interface is not playing Mahjong/Phoenix correctly

Whenever someone plays a mahjong with a straight and I can complete the straight with a phoenix, the interface forces me to play the phoenix. I am pretty sure this is contrary to the rules.
