How to improve my level

Hello to all, i play Hanabi on BGA from maybe 1 year. Now i have 500 points, but i would like to improve my points and my level. I keep playing with multicolour, Black powder, finesse, Flaming, etc, but every play i can gain more than 1-2 points (or, worse, lose them). Maybe i am not a good player, ...
