Re: LINE-IT & MIND UP!: Play both, choose the ONE (for you)!

I've played several games of both since Beta release and I find myself disappointed in them both, but for different reasons. Mind up is fine for 3 players and does involve a bit of skill, but any more than that and it's complete luck. With 5 players you may as well close your eyes and pick a card. ...

Re: Unfassbar schlecht gemachtes Userinterface bei Arche Nova

I find the interface unintuitive too, and don't like the pop-up.

But until a better solution is found, maybe you could set games to TB, but play live? I have done this with a few games where there is a lot to monitor at once. Takes the stress away.

Re: Carebear picky word usage here

Suggesting people are bad players by offering them tips can also get you red thumbed.

Maybe just privately red thumb the dire player and move on?

Re: Rule suggestion - No trumps on the 1st hand

No trumps call variant is popular in Whist variants including this one and in many trick-taking games it is in the standard rules. Also, no trumps call is harder to do correctly and usually less advantageous unless your hand fully consists of top cards from all suits. I'm familiar with No Trumps as...

Re: Can't for the life of me find players

It may also be worth playing a few TB games of things you like, just to meet people who enjoy the game and might then be willing to schedule a RT game. I've had TB players ask me to play RT before.

And it's quite easy to find TB games of Downforce, at least.

Re: A broken game

I haven't found this to be an issue either in games with friends or in tournament play.

The penalties for going into the dark are quite tough, so most players try to avoid picking TOO many cards.

Since there are other optional variants in this implementation, I'd like to be able to play with the option to turn off no trumps. In fact, in the P...
