I think you're missing the points you sometimes get when choosing which card set to draft from. I was confused by this at first too. For example, in the second round if you choose to draft from set A you get two fan points along with drafting two cards from set A. You can see the two fan stars next ...

Jump Drive. It's another fast paced (actually even faster paced), engine-building card game of similar complexity. Although I'd say there's slightly more skill involved in Jump Drive.
