To take an extreme example: https://boardgamearena.com/gamestats?player=84207926&opponent_id=0&game_id=1075&finished=0 You can see (bottom right) that each victory gave me 0 to 2 elo. The 0 is because I gained 0.62 elo, which was rounded to 0 since my starting elo was 814.82. And 814.82...

It appears to me that on a regular basis I am unable to win as much ELO as I lose. Granted, I tend to win more than I lose and as such I'm gaining ELO. Which is exactly why you lose more than you gain. Your ELO is supposed to stabilize around your "true" skill level. Once there, you shoul...

Why do I not win as much ELO as I lose?

It appears to me that on a regular basis I am unable to win as much ELO as I lose. Granted, I tend to win more than I lose and as such I'm gaining ELO.
