Agreed. I'm very disappointed. 3 column game is much quicker -- can play on the bus or as a quick break. The 5 column game just adds time, when most of the time the first player to 3 columns ends up winning. It just takes longer. Please everyone remember to vote 3 columns when the chance arises! -g

I've played a lot on BGA and haven't noticed that pattern. (That said, there are only 12 hubs on BGA. There are 24 in the physical game. The missing 12 are some of my favorites...)

As the designer, I'll say this: There are so many variables in the setup of each game that we found little to no first player advantage overall. For sure, it is quite possible that the first player (or second or third) will have one more turn in a given game than a player later in the initial order....
