Re: Why do "4 moves per day" turn-based games not have a sleep period?
I remember being constantly low on time and forced to make my move first thing in the morning when I would have preferred to play in the afternoon. Might I suggest in that case that 4 turns/day is not for you? OP is talking about an 8 hour break for sleep, and your talking about a 12+ hour break fo...

Underrated games on BGA
Which games on BGA are highly underrated? More specifically: games that are really fun, but hard to find players for. For me, it's Gold West and Uptown. Gold West is a territory building game that is perfect for turn-based games, since it has long turns but isn't a super long game. The mechanism rem...

Re: Which games are neither short, medium-length, nor long?
Some games aren't filtered for some reason, not just games at the exact borders. I noticed King of Tokyo is not listed even though the time length stated would be a 'medium-length' game. (I haven't played it so I don't really know how long the game takes besides what BGA says.)

Re: Top 5 Solo Games on BGA
My personal top 5 solo games on Board Game Arena (BGA) would be: 1. **Terra Mystica**: A complex strategy game where players build and expand their factions on a fantasy map. 2. **Race for the Galaxy**: A card game where players develop their galactic civilizations through strategic card play. 3. *...

Re: Why do "4 moves per day" turn-based games not have a sleep period?
"4 moves per day" give +6hrs per move, human beings need 6-9 hours of sleep per day. If someone who needs 8 hours of sleep per day plays one of these games during every waking hour, it's still possible for them to be booted for inactivity, if the person before them always takes a turn aro...

Re: What is your favourite board game NOT on BGA?
Probably Codenames Duet. I'd love to see this (or the ordinary Codenames, but I've never played that) added so I can play it more often :). But it is definitely best irl with a friend or family member: knowing each other well adds a lot to the game, since you can use inside jokes, shared fandoms an...

Re: Top 5 Solo Games on BGA
I think these are my top-5: Gaia Project and Tapestry I love playing these solo. The Automa mechanism works well (especially in Gaia Project) and is usually challenging enough if you pick the right level. Since they're very long games, multiplayer can be an intimidating commitment and potential prob...

Are inappropriate words allowed?
Are we allowed to use inappropriate words as clues, provided they would actually be a useful clue?
I'm thinking of swear words, specific body parts, and cruel/offensive historical figures.
Examples: 'vagina' for hole, 'Hitler' or 'Stalin' for mustache

Synonyms that are also translations
So you're allowed to use synonyms as the one word, but not translations. But I played a game where the word was 'appetizer' and two players wrote 'horsd'oeuvre' and 'entrée' as clues. These are French words but are commonly used in English, so they're kind of both? Should these be allowed or not? Or...
