20 days for a tournament

Is there any reason there's no option between 15 and 30 days for a tournament? I run several, and one in particular has more than a few games that time out after 15 days. But some finish in less than a week, and most that do time out are often at over 90%. If there were 20 days available, it would c...

Re: New Monthly 2 Player Tournaments

Any thoughts on why the second iteration didn't fly? I set up one recently and just had 4 sign up. The minimum was 8 I think, so it didn't start either. Is the game just not that popular?

Advanced vs Basic

It seems like most games are Basic. Do people not like bidding? I like the extra strategy involved, especially if the volcano tile is an option.

Re: Rating system doesn't make sense

So in the example game you posted, you had 2 open spots when the other player finished their board, and they only had 1 when you finished your board in the second round.

Re: Rating system doesn't make sense

From the How To Play section:

Tournament Mode
The game is played multiple times with each player getting a chance to go first.

The winner of each round earns two points.
The other players lose one point for each empty space on their grid.
Highest total score wins.

Re: Rating system doesn't make sense

The two rounds aren't separate win-loss games. They have a score. Add up the scores for the final score. Kinda like those soccer tournaments where the teams play a home-and-home. Team A wins 3-0, then loses 0-1. Then they say "Team A won 3-1 on aggregate".

Variation Popularity

Is there a way to see how often the game is played with Heavy Shadows vs Light Shadows? Similarly for playing the extra round. I've only played Light Shadow for 3 rounds (seems like the default) but was curious how popular the other options were.
