I think the point of this thread is that ELO is meaningless in the way it is implemented.

ELO is especially meaningless, because it is very common for someone to be a highly experienced player _before_ they start playing on BGA. It's not fun for the person who takes the -30 ELO hit on that one. (Or even worse, that person really is a total beginner who has no idea how to play, and they g...
