Does it go in the discard pile like any other card, and can then be retrieved by playing hearts and played again?

If at any time the deck is empty, then the discard is shuffled and makes a new deck. Is that from the rules somewhere? I couldn't find it. Example: In a 5-player game, everyone starts with 3 cards, then the first player draws a card. That means there are only 2 cards left in the deck. If several cards have been placed on the board, the game currently only allows you to see the top card. It would be super useful sometimes to see all the cards, e.g. to decide if it's worth picking up the top one to get to another one underneath. The rules don't seem to forbid it.

+1 for this. Sounds like it needs some image-editing skills, which I don't possess, but happy to learn and do the grunt work if someone is willing to teach?
