Board Game Arena

Hello all, Just played a solo game and I could not figure out how to deliver silver to the merchant buildings to complete them. I tried selecting my silver in my player info panel, tried using my trade commodities, amongst other things and nothing worked. Perhaps I am simply not understanding a rule...
