Re: Screen display size sliders

New setting: Strict/Lenient Rules, aka: No pedants and buzzkills?

Could this game benefit from a game option setting "Pedant/fun" mode, where we select how strictly we apply certain undefined gaps in the rules to allow things/not allow them and therefore to filter pedantic buzzkill players who seem to take things far too seriously and exclude otherwise v...

That is an overly pedantic and distorted view of what they wrote. It's wrong to imply that.

Screen display size sliders

I recently started playing this again after a 6 month break. What happened to the display sliders? Have they been removed? Can they be reinstated? I used to be able to resize the various panels, card areas, etc so it all fit on my screen sensibly. Now it's locked, but trying to use the browser zoom ...

Re: Use of dash to show clue relation to word?

I agree with above leniency. I think it's fine to use so long as the letters without the dash spell a word in its own right. So -apple would be fine, as would -Scots in the original example. I definitely agree that what matters is having fun, and excluding a clue that would otherwise be valid just b...

Re: Just One - Extra Cards Please

I think the publisher missed a trick. The easy thing to do would be to have a game variant that allows the clue checker each round to also create the target word noun for everyone to write clues for. That way boredom is avoided and no extra work for the publisher. It always cracks me up when there a...

Use of dash to show clue relation to word?

Can you use a dash to show where the clue sits in relation to the target word? E.g. if the target is pine using -apple as a clue or Scots- etc Most games I've played people are happy with this but someone got really unpleasant about it the other day as if it was breaking the ten commandments. Is the...

Re: Shorten turn time

Isn't the time delay often due to either chat distracting people, where they're still discussing the last rounds clues, or its different nationalities looking up words, thinking through what they're putting etc. I've played since really fast games where it's been smaller numbers of players and all f...

Re: Lobby: Display Options

Patience young grasshopper. There is a new lobby in beta testing. I've yet to see it first hand but there are several people feeding in during testing to try and improve it
