Seems impossible to me. This would imply that the programmer(s) deliberately designed this implementation in a way that it can differentiate between the starting contracts and does "know" which one is better and then on top of that decides which contract to give to higher elo player. Inste...

Maybe you missed that you have to pay additional 3 coins for the green card as someone has already placed their meeple in the green tower?

I like it as well. But I'm not an expert player, so my opinion is probably not that valuable. And I only have a few games with this variant under my belt. There's a thread on BGG about this variant, if you go the forums of Agricola revised edition.
