Re: Mode Arene, plus de 1 an de 1vs1

I've been a Guru and voted for 1v1 for a long time and also only ever played 1v1 games on BGA. I feel strongly that if you want to play IAWW competitively, it must be played 1v1 and that the game's mechanics are extremely fun multi-player, but not for competition. The primary reason for this is that...

Re: Feature request: empire side C

You can see it mentioned on the official IAWW FAQ on question #3 here: https://www.laboitedejeu.fr/en/its-a-wonderful-world/ My understanding is that they were part of the original game, but as a bonus for people who bought it via the Kickstarter campaign, rather than waiting for the full release an...

Re: Playing defensively

I have a fair number of thoughts on this, but let me just start by being clear that playing defensively is 1000% a part of the game and in fact a huge part of the strategy and something that every player should without a doubt be doing, especially in ranked games. I think where this becomes a little...

Upvote ELO ranking bug

I just filed this bug report to BGA:
https://boardgamearena.com/bug?id=107162

that calls out a bug in the ELO rankings for It's a Wonderful World that was introduced today. If folks could please upvote to get it some attention, so that the BGA team fixes it, that would be great.

Thanks!

Re: GIANT DAM

I agree it is a dominant starting card, but I don't mind it. I think the beauty of the game is trying to overcome the luck element and that some variance is important to the game. There's only a 6% chance that your opponent is dealt Giant Dam. And then if they are dealt it, I'd say only a 75% chance...

Rules interpretation for "largest group of adjacent houses"

I was playing this game https://boardgamearena.com/6/akropolis?table=394926280 and I noticed that my opponent seemed to have a mis-scored count of blue houses. My opponent has two groups of adjacent blue tiles, one on a level 3 next to another on a level 2 (for 5 total) and then another group with o...

Re: Arena config...

Has anyone actually been nominated as a Guru for It's a Wonderful World? Or are Guru's not yet setup for the game, since it is so newly out of beta? If so, are they able to vote on the arena configs if so? So far as I can tell Gurus are supposed to be the players with the most games played over the ...

Re: Arena config...

I completely agree that arena should be two-player and even more importantly symmetric, if it is intended to be competitive. Asymmetric is only for introductory purposes and there are pairings that are just not winnable (if you don't start with any white and your opponent does, it's nearly impossibl...
