Suggestion: remove card dealing animation

I think the animations in each round of dealing the cards to every player one at a time, and then SLOWLY to the player itself is very boring. I don't have any fun watching that sequence, so I think it is a waste of time and not in correspondence with the BGA convention of keeping unnecessary animati...

Re: Is Secret Oath too powerful?

@southburg, Secret Oath has a 43% win rate (data from a tournament). The solution to Secret Oath is not to give it a direct debuff. The problem is that new players don't know how to defend against it and that the card ends up taking lots of space in games. I still think implementing counters to Secr...

Re: Is Secret Oath too powerful?

I totally agree with adding more counters to Secret Oath. I came up with some suggested cards that might counter it. One suggested card: choose a number. Deal damage equal to this number times how many cards in your opponents hand have value equal to this number. This card could become broken by its...

Re: are high cost spells(>3) kind of weak?

Strength of cards depend on how many times you can activate them. For example if you have 1-2 turns left, it's better to pick a 4-cost card dealing 6 damage (1.5 damage per card) than a 1-cost card dealing 2 damage(2 damage per card). Shadow Attack and Hellstorm can both let you have equally many or...

Re: Favorite Opening?

I'm voting for 888. Get the bonus +2: check Don't get countered: check Get the 8 points from the card: check You say that 888 is really aggressive, but I disagree. The aggressive option is to delay the high cards until later rounds with a high risk/high reward instead of playing them early and safely.

Strategy share

I have already achieved my goal of reaching the #1 ELO ranking, so I'll share my strategy. Hopefully someone can find it useful. All (90+%) of my games are 3-player games. Round 1: I like to always start with 888 for the first game against new opponents. In 90%(?) of games this will give me the turn...

Game contents list

I have tried to search for the distribution of mana power cards (how many 1's, 2's, 3's, 4's) in several places, including the wizards of the grimoire digital rulebook. I have not been able to find this. My first place of searching is usually the 'how to play' section on BGA, so it would be nice to ...

Suggested feature: Turn counter

Keeping track of which turn it is can for example be helpful in estimating how many turns remain of the game and who will win if they keep dealing the same damage per turn. Keeping track of this on the board instead of in one's head sounds very nice. This feature should be quite easy to implement too.
