Slipstream does not cont as movement in a curve

Dear all, I played the America map and drove through a curve. I wanted to use the option slipstream, because a car was on my side. Then a info window told me that the slipstream count on movement for passing a curve. I read the manual and it is not true. Please check. Maybe I understood the info win...
