I like the option to simulatously do it, because i fear random could lead to unfair constellations.
There could also be a variant without revealing.

Anfänger traut euch gegen Spieler mit hoher ELO

Ich finde es sehr schade, dass in diesem und auch anderen Spielen Mitspieler flüchten, wenn sie einen Top Rang sehen.
Einerseits kann man da vielleicht einige gut Kniffe abschauen, andererseits bekommt man ordentlich Punkte bei einem Sieg.
Also bitte traut euch einfach.
