If you think it's absurd maybe you're limiting the scope of decision making to the hand being played and not the wider context of the table you're playing at and the players you're up against over the course of an entire session? Other implementations of Texas seem to handle table joins & leaves fluidly just like Oami describes (e.g. Pokerrr 2 on mobile).
