Tiebreaker for tied games in tournament mode?

I just finished a elimination tournament game in tournament mode. The game finished in a 1-1 tie, but I saw that I was eliminated while my opponent went through to the next stage. Is there any tiebreaker involved in the determination of which tied player go through? Thx.

I guess my feelings about probabilities are wrong, but on rounds where you need to rolls 3/4/5 dices to get a good combinaison, it really look like going for a -1 and be sure to not play first next round is really effecient. I guess I should try 3 players instead of 4, that will reduce that strateg...
