Actually I play as two players using the Hot Seat option. I could try three players if more characters would help.

I've played Pandemic and Forbidden Island, etc. but "Fate" appears much more complex. Any discussion of suggested strategies, especially for the beginning of the game, would be appreciated.

Please explain how the negative number which adjusts the solo score total is determined. Follow up: I now see the negative score comes from the numbered stars in the upper right corner of the scoring cards. The rule book is confusing as it says the numbers are in the lower corners, which is true for...

Every time I have played, I always start as Dracula. It doesn't matter if I invite others to play or I join their game. Why is that?

Thank you to the developers for the Hot Seat option. I use it frequently to try out new games by myself. I add my wife's name in the hot seat, then play both roles to see how the game works and if I like it enough to recommend it to others to play. Great option, please keep it.
