I did not get the 7 points from completely covering the map, and only 2 points from Architectural Zoo. Did I miss something?

The game is rendered excessively frustrating due to the adsence of a feature to cancel or undo actions, or any system for confirmation prior to finalizing an action.

I have earned planetary-scale research as a private technology by colonizing a system. The game will let me choose the action space to spend 4 orbs to research X, X=number of colonized systems + 1; I have colonized 5 systems. The game won't let me pick any technology for research.
