The Default Setting is currently to exclude them; it's one of the many new options that are opt-in features. Unfortunately that means that almost every table I've seen when I try to look for games to join is playing without the new birds!

Now that there's an official repository of fan-made material, including game additions ranging from new birds and bonus card packs to entire campaign modes, is there any possibility of eventually getting some of those into BGA as playable options? I would imagine copyright and financial implications...

Also I can confirm that if/when we release such a pack, absolutely nothing about them will change other than the names.
