Re: Only one winner

I have advocated for this quite a few times on this forum, but I don't think BGA is ever going to do something about this. I suppose it's a one size fits all ELO system, and nobody cares enough about it breaking KoT. And it really does break the game. In RL 3 player game, if one player gets ahead in...

Origin deck list

I can find a list of the origin specific power cards, but not the entire deck - so I’m not sure which cards are excluded when playing the origin version. Does anyone know?

Re: Fast Wins

The issue is the way ELO or arena points are rewarded. As pointed out before, players will rather secure second place instead of risking to ending up the only one attacking the king of Tokyo, not gaining stars and ending last. The game is designed to have only one winner, the other players lose. BGA...

Real time matchmaking mobile

Hi Is there a way to do real time matchmaking on a mobile device (I’m on iOS), without having your browser window open up front the whole time? It usually takes several minutes, if not half an hour, before finding a match. When playing on mobile, if I switch apps and come back a couple of seconds la...

Re: Every action should give back a little time

Same thing happened again last week 😳 Time stands still, with that change die face to 1 or to whatever for 2 energy. My opponent had 17 points but was never going to get another turn, I just needed some time to buy and sell cards to gain enough energy to change the dice into a bunch of claws and win...

Re: Unfairness in kot elo

Wow. That explains a lot. I usually don’t play the expansions and 2p games, so yeah I guess there’s not that many players out there that I haven’t won several consecutive times against. I didn’t get why I often don’t get ELO points.

Re: Who programmed the dice?

Unless they show us the exact code used in the game we can guess all we want. Initially I also got the feeling the dice were not truely random. Especially because I played Catan for years on Asobrain, with the C&K expansion. It displayed the dice roll statistics during the entire game, and every...

Re: Physical Release: King of Tokyo Origins

Is there any difference from the original game except for a couple of power cards being added or left out? Is there an overview somewhere of the power cards in origins?

Will this version be available here too?
