Re: Winning percentages

Truly shocking to see Nomads that low. They are a very tactically flexible civ, but I suspect many people miss that and just go E+M. Nomads can effectively play any track combo. Should be mid tier imo. Other surprises: - How are Merrymakers not in the top 10 for games with expert players??? - Mystic...

Re: Winning percentages

Very surprising to see Nomads that low. They should be way higher. I guess it's probably a result of lower ranked players not knowing how to play them (making the mistake of putting too many income buildings in capital city).

Top Ten Tapestry Card Rankings

I thought it would be fun to post a top 10 tapestry card list, and hope other good players do so as well. It will be important to understand the criteria I based my list on: - 2v2 gameplay - Nov 2022 civ adjustments (the civs from the past 5+ arena seasons, NOT the civs from the current disaster of ...

Tapestry Strategy Tips #3 - Income Turn Timing

This subject is admittedly hard to write on, as timing of income turns depends on so many things (tap cards, tech cards and tech card prerequisites, civ matchup, track positioning, etc). At the most basic level, when deciding whether or not to take an income turn I am asking myself this question: “I...

Re: New arena rules

I am genuinely curious if the guru vote was actually for these civ formats, or if BGA made a mistake. Are there people out there who voted for this format? Everyone I asked says they voted for the historical Nov 2022 civ adjustment format.

Tapestry Strategy Tips #2 - Micro Track Strategy

First of all, by “micro track strategy” I mean strategy to consider on each specific move, as opposed to overall track strategy which was discussed in my #1 post. Topic A – Income is Almost all that Matters Early Game By far the most important early game micro track strategy to understand is that (a...

Re: Tapestry Strategy Tips

I look very much forward to an upcoming "when to go into next era" guide because I find that extremely hard to decide. Against good or brillant players I always become out smarted - or believe I do. But sometimes you can go into next era too soon. I find that rookie players always go into...

Re: Tapestry Strategy Tips #1 - Overall Track Stategy

Awesome post and insight. I totally agree that second player is always at a disadvantage, especially with seasoned players. Even if you’re able to, as 2nd player, advance on M+E quite far, the points just don’t add up if you don’t take out grey income buildings to double or triple your capital city...

Re: Tapestry Strategy Tips #1 - Overall Track Stategy

Track advance tech cards have several advantages: 1) It is important to understand the return on investment for each track space. In general, tier 1 track spaces are good return, tier 2 spaces are ok return, tier 3 spaces are bad return, and tier 4 spaces are excellent return. Anything that helps yo...
