The rules do not state it clearly as they do with the Archer, Cub, Frog, and Wisp, so I'm assuming it can.

Suggestion: what if for the figurine version the figurine has no white / black color and is neutral BUT you flip the base. So neutral figurine but colored base. Flat tokens are much more doable than 3D plastic figurines, because you can have two colors, one on each side, and simply flip the token to your team color in that game.

I've made flat tokens myself, given that the game is not sold in Brazil and importing it is too expensive.
