Board Game Arena

There's an expansion card that says "if you have fewer ships, gain (+2)" How does it work? It seems inconsistent in the way the game is programmed on BGA. Sometimes, it seems to apply only on actual ships, sometimes it takes into account the (ships) gained via the "(+2)" expansio...

Agreed.
I enjoy the tension that comes from not having that safety net.
I'll add that the game is asymetrical by design: no two characters play the same. It adds depth to the design that the ending is asymetrical, too: not every player gets the same amount of full turns.
