I do feel that there is a lot of luck in the game but I also feel that after 75 games that I don't have a clue how to play this game...

Looks like normal play vs a friend to me.

But I do feel that invite only games should not count towards ranking.

Don't place skeletons near your home base, otherwise you can get caught by one or two soldiers UNLESS you protet them with stronger unit. It seems to me that it is a much more skill based game at 2 players compared to 3. Obviously still highly luck based though.
