Re: Score differential tiebreakers are bad

Agreed. And the solution is what xspuipuke said. Can you even change the tiebreaker format when registering a tournament? A player registering? No. But the person running the tournament can choose from various settings, as is my understanding. I'm on a tournament creation page right now. Where do I...

Agreed. And the solution is what xspuipuke said. Can you even change the tiebreaker format when registering a tournament? If you don‘t like the tiebreaker rule, don‘t register for that tournament. The rules should be visible before you decide to register. I don't think tiebreaker rules are visible....

Re: Score differential tiebreakers are bad

Uncapped score differential is a poor tiebreaker. It leads to people exntending games just to maximize score differential, instead of ending as soon as possible. And in case of abandoned games (due to time out), you end up with +1 score differential, even if you were ahead by 100 points. Where the ...

iOS 26 issues?

Is anyone else experiencing issues using BGA with iOS 26? I recently updated and am finding the mobile experience frustrating now. The hit boxes for history/log and chat seem off, and the game randomly highlights/enlarges cards without pressing them. I just passed on Deimos Down early on to an oppon...

Re: Why no 4p tournaments?

Anything other than 1v1 tournaments should just be scrapped until BGA figures out a new way to decide a winner when someone leaves or is kicked.

Re: Leaver/kick tournament qualification mechanics are a joke

Once a player is kicked from a game, the result is void - your points don't matter. And yes, if there is multiple elimination from a tournament game and that game has been voided, there has to be some way to determine the other person who is eliminated (the kicked player is also eliminated), which ...

Leaver/kick tournament qualification mechanics are a joke

I just completed a Terraforming Mars 3P tournament game in which I finished 1st with 140 VP versus 2nd place's 78 VP. Yet I didn't qualify for the next round because, apparently, in a game with a leave/kick, the oldest account qualifies no matter what - even though I had the most VP and most time le...

Re: Skipping players (why is this allowed?)

When you look at the replay log of a finished game, there is a graph at the end that shows the remaining time for all players throughout the game. There is also a checkbox that displays these times at various steps in the log. Looking at this graph for the game in question, the first time you ran o...
