Edit. I just bought a physical copy of Stonespine and tried out a three player version with the two player discard/pickup. It made the game higher scoring and added a bit more chance. This changed the strategy, it didn't dumb it down. Just changed it. Now I'm not sure what way I prefer...

Does anyone else find this a wildly different game in 2 player? The discard and pickup during card of 2 player drafting stages means that you are always looking at fresh cards. In contrast, in multiplayer, you have a lot less control to block your opponent and you're more likely to end up with rubbi...
