Board Game Arena

I'm reading through the rules and can't find any exception to this, but I'm in a clearing with empty spaces and BGA won't let me build buildings. I've had resources for 3 different buildings and I've checked in two different clearings and still no luck. As far as I can tell, there are buildings left...
