click where, i tried clicking the x but still nothing, in solo and in game, never gan use the x tokens

I just played solo and it wont let me use the x token? i have 5 x tokens but when i pick a card nothing,
'4 You must play one card from hand or within reputation range (1/2) Undo last step Restart turn'
no offer of using x tokens
