Another option could be awarding +1 extra elo for this setup.

By default:

2 player games: 0 jokers
3 player games: 1 joker
4 player games: 2 jokers

Jokers can be removed from 3-4 player games to make the game more challenging. I'm not sure if they can be added to 2-3 player games to make the game easier.

The BGA implementation has 550 words. All proper nouns were removed from the physically published version and were replaced by the same number of common words. You can find the complete word list and discussions about repetitions in other threads of this forum.

Did you set it to 'training mode'? I have no issues playing solo games.
