Re: What's your opener here?

I like Commercial District for early MC prod, and the tile placement is nice. Stranded knight rated it 'C' for starting hand; keepable if playable and doesn't 'distract' from better plays? Thanks for the thoughts, I love to improve.

Re: Asteroid Mining Consortium

There may exist games that address or handle 3p 4p kingmaking well... T Mars is not one of them. (Puerto Rico comes to mind as a particularly good one against kingmaking?). Given how much kingmaking can and does happen in T Mars... I prefer 2p. I also like a quicker game, and one where I spend less ...

Re: Asteroid Mining Consortium

I'd opine we are better off debating opinions on the game regardless of the ELO rating of the people in the discussion... but hey, internet is internet.

Re: Scoring options?

Did they change the scoring display in Concordia? In T Mars it works fine.

Re: Asteroid Mining Consortium

I opine card / corporation balance varies across player counts, sure; I don't see anything in the design that screams to me 'this was designed for 3p or 4p'. Sure all the attack cards are weaker in any non 2p game; some cards and corps are stronger in 3p+ than 2p -there's nothing I can see that poin...

Re: Actually filtering out tables with bad rulesets?

Hi,

I am also not premium so I also have to click fast or not play. I feel you friend.

I don't know how to set the settings so those maps or modes you do not like show up. Hope someone who knows can tell us.

Re: Why can't you give up in the arena?

Forum / mod suggestion - take one of the many threads on the 50% threshold (to prevent ELO abuse) and make it a sticky so we can point people to it when someone asks like this. Thanks everyone.

Re: Request: have "always 2 actions" as an option on async tournaments

The folks I play with IRL are very competitive, efficient, min maxing gamers. We all prefer to play our best, most optimal strategic plays versus say house ruling 'always two actions' to appease someone's sense of 'wasted time'. Everyone can enjoy playing their games as they please; in our circle - ...

Re: Request: have "always 2 actions" as an option on async tournaments

Thanks for the great (volunteer) work you do, Frank. @ The guy continuing to talk about one actioning - perhaps you can convince the game designers to issue some errata. They have at least informally posted about this (on boardgamegeek, for example about how they would buff UNMI / Inventrix to make ...

Re: Request: have "always 2 actions" as an option on async tournaments

Indeed, if the rules of T Mars were revised to force two actions, the game would change very much. In 2 player at least, stall actions like Tardigrades, search for life, power infra etc. would shoot up in importance. These cards (or the activated ability of search for life) are not often played in h...
