Board Game Arena

I've played solo several times and no matter my score, it always says I had that in a NEGATIVE score and that I lost. I'm new to the game overall, so I could be missing a major understanding that I'm supposed to set goals or something? Thank you in advance.

Desperate for solo mode.... Mostly because people agree to play your table, when its set up for fast play, and they take forever! I'd love to play at a much faster pace.
