It seems to be specific to her account. Every time we start Knarr she has that problem of not being able to play a card. It could be a combination of her account and Knarr.

I just bought my wife Premium and her account is having an issue. There are several games we play where she gets an error trying to perform an action even using the same exact browser and computer that I use and I don't get an error. The biggest one is with Knarr.
