I agree. I was disappointed when I saw it had changed. While a best of three rewards skill, a single game can flip on just one hand of play. Hopefully they will review this for the next season; until then, we just have to roll with it.

Yes, the rules state you only pass to the left and receive from the right. I'm not sure of the reasoning behind this either - I've played swapping it out (7 Wonders style) and it works just fine that way in my view. Perhaps it could at least be an option?

I would very much like to play test The Great Split! My physical copy does not get nearly enough play!

Speaking of "Acquire..." Has anyone tried to implement that here? It seems like it would be a great fit.
