Re: Back-Button for Tzol'kin
There are also people who don't want this. Not having it should be the default option, with a user preference to turn it on. Many pretty common medical conditions result in unsteady hands, so this comes down to an accessibility issue for me. Not having a useful feature, while also basically putting...

Re: Is it just me or is this tournament system (really) bad?
Nothing about the system enforces a 2 day time limit. If you are bothered by losing games on time, only join tournaments with time limits long enough to ensure that that doesn't happen. I don't join anything under 7 days each, except Tash-Kalar which I'll go as low as 3 per player because of the sma...

Re: Dragonheart / Cœur de Dragon Expert
Well, I can see your perspective here, but I disagree. I think we just have different ideas about what a 'variant' ruleset is. If I can do something on BGA that is prohibited by the games rules (e.g. stall and time people out in Puerto Rico, instead of taking turns in order when requested), or if I ...

Re: Dragonheart / Cœur de Dragon Expert
Well, as far as I can tell the official stance of the site seems to be 'defend the status quo regardless of whether it makes sense, to avoid doing more work'. They are running an unofficial variant of Puerto Rico too (https://en.boardgamearena.com/#!forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=10575) but refuse to...

Re: Most complex game
I will make some game of "hive" but it doesn't seems a game with a lot of possibilitys and freedom of strategy. Hive with tournament opening and all the expansions might be deeper than chess even, and is definitely more complex than checkers. Pieces are never even captured off the board i...

Re: New time options for quickly players
+1 More timing options are badly needed on this site. A faster timer would be nice, a setting where you could just put in your own turn time limit would be great, and seems so obvious that I can't believe it isn't available. Would also like options for other types of timekeeping, such as differentia...

Re: Timer in Tournaments
Yes, some tournament players try to exploit their time, but as Jest Phulin said: Every tournament clearly states how much time is allotted per player for the game. Most games have a fairly narrow range of moves to make. Divide one by the other, and figure out how often a move needs to be made (on av...

Re: Dragonheart / Cœur de Dragon Expert
I believe that was the wording even in the original rulebook from 2011, but it is vague - which is why Panda objectives were specifically mentioned in the FAQ to remove all doubt. Edit: aren't there also cards in the expansion that have plot requirement in addition to a bamboo requirement? Do I thro...
