Whenever I try to play Tzolkin on my IPad I can't get the game logs to move away from covering the Temples, Tech boxes, and buildings. iPad Slowdown

When I play Dominion on my IPad it seems to take forever to update my cards and even slower when I click on a card to buy. I just lost a game I was way ahead on because of time? Is this an IPad issue or am I doing something wrong when I click on the cards?
