Why not forcing the same Zoo Map for all players, then. You can't remove chance at all levels, but this one is easy to fix, at least in BGA (not on a table). I think you can't really complain if you fell on a table where 1 unique payer decided they didn't want to wait for you to come back. If they prefered not to lose against you, well, it's a pity, but you can't really blame the system for that. Instead, look at the game history, find out who voted you ...

I found that this game played as solo is very challenging, with no possible difficulty level to set.

I tried it in paper with all different zoo maps, and not all of them (IMHO) are compatible with a win in solo game.

Kiosque and Pavilion Tiles : are x1 size - no question for flipping Petting Zoo , Reptile House and Large Bird Aviary : are Special Enclosures .
