Re: looking for not too complicated build-up startegy games , bit similare to the old computer game 1601 !

Anno 1602 Well, the most obvious one would be Catan I guess? Or is that already in the "too complicated" bucket for you? Splendor was certainly a good mention. Given you have a taste for abstract games, I can imagine Harmonies could be one you would enjoy a lot. Also Castle Combo is a pre...

Re: looking for not too complicated build-up startegy games , bit similare to the old computer game 1601 !

The one game that comes to mind is Happy City which is a very simple city builder. , Also Dice Forge and The Builders: Middle Ages / The Builders: Antiquity might be up your alley, all these are among the simpler engine builders. If you are looking more for spatial recognition / area expansion, then...

What if too few players register in a two-stage tournament

Here is a quirky two-stage tournament that I created and that is still running. https://boardgamearena.com/tournament?id=567401 It tells us a little bit about what happens when fewer than the intended number of players register in a two-stage tournament. What I wanted to have: 21 groups of 4 players...

Re: Arena RNG

This has been one of the biggest criticisms of Arena from its very start. It is supposed to be the "competitive mode", yet you are very likely to meet opponents far away from your skill level (and you can't really avoid it even with the filters available). Because everyone starts at the sa...

Re: How does Bga decide to eliminate a player if one of the player is timed out and expelled?

Okay but it should be allowed to regain karma when you aren't really at fault. It is allowed of course but how would it be executed ? There are thousands of tournament games running at once. There is already a system that removes penalties during server outages but BGA cannot know If you are asleep...

The link to Cup 1 is the wrong one (Spring league).
Here is the good link:

Thanks! I edited it into the first post. Now the link is correct.

Re: Spiritless Summer League 2026 - shorter and tighter

This time, the Round Robin Rumble happens only once at the end of the season. In that way, I want to make it more meaningful and perhaps re-engage some of the highly competitive players. https://boardgamearena.com/tournament?id=571989 (14th September) Round Robin Rumble Qualification: - All the 1st ...

Spiritless Summer League 2026 - shorter and tighter

You guessed it, the Harmonies Summer League is coming! It includes 3 tournaments of Harmonies - no spirits, 2p. In the end, all results are aggregated and we crown the Harmonies Summer League Champion . Only Good+ players can join. tl;dr: What changes compared to the Spring League? - The time limit ...

Re: Can you create invite links to non-premium games as non-premium account?

True. In priniciple, you can just create a fresh table in "Play now" and copy/paste the URL from that table shown in the browser to anyone you want to invite. And you can easily invite friends there, too, anyway. So I guess there is not much pro or con between "Games" or "Pl...
