Re: Scoring Result higher than 'X'.

You can also count your pieces in chess after checkmate, but nobody does because it's immaterial to the real result which is who has won, not how many pieces do I have more than you, or in bloom - how many stones. So if the same ill-formed results were used in chess, then you'd have people delaying ...

Re: New Profile Stat: Average time to make move.

Just turn-based games.

Real-time would not make much sense, since 6-Nimmt is obviously faster to play than chess. And also this is not really a consideration when joining a table.

New Profile Stat: Average time to make move.

Hi. Can BGA implement a new statistic on a players profile page. 'Average time to make move' I believe this statistic can be formed from a similar looking statistic that is displayed at the end of each game : Thinking time 6h12 6h30 Number of turns 11 11 Most for turn-based games as this will give a...

Re: Scoring Result higher than 'X'.

There is nothing in the rules to say how the result is displayed, only who has won.

If you DON'T want people to play blooms in tournaments and completely put off new players then indeed keep it the way it is now.
(not exactly a completely ridiculous reason).

There is no need to win 30-5 rather than 15-5. A win is a win and it's just not necessary. Taking just the losers score would have the exact same outcome, but restricting the winners score to 'X' would be easier and clearer.

Scoring Result higher than 'X'.

So games can end in 20 or higher when 'X' is set to 15...? In round robin tournaments the score difference is used as a tie breaker. So players in all games, players are trying to win by the largest amount. They get a known winning position and then force the losing player to continue playing (knowi...

Re: Begginer question - win rate

For 2 players, it is what you think it is. For more players in a game, say 4, then you are expected to win 25% of the time (rather than 50% of the time in 2-player games), and therefore this number is doubled as a result. So in 6 player games, if you actually win 33% of the time, then your win rate ...

The 'X' value, when a player reaches that score at the end of their turn.

Re: Blooms

The tournament settings have 3 lots of X settings.

And on the how to play page, the 'SEE THE GAME IN ACTION' looks very strange...:S
