how to see more than a tiny bit of the game log?

I love playing games on BGA but I cannot figure out how to use the game log effectively. I just want to view everything that's happened since my last turn, but I can't find any way to do that besides clicking the skinny red triangle bar at the bottom of the log, scrolling down, clicking, scrolling, ...

How to use the Replay Last Moves button?

I cannot figure out how to use the Replay Game. Every time I press the "Replay Last Moves button", the entire game flashes by too fast to follow. I can't find a pause button or a slow down button - what am I missing? Has anyone figured out how this feature is supposed to work?
