Re: Bigger avatars

I'm not sure I can tell the difference between a spot at a table that is "optional" and one that is "required"--it looks like the same grey question mark to me. (E.g. I want to be able to tell at a glance if a table for Eminent Domain is for 4 players but a 2p or 3p game is possi...

Re: Thoughts on Dice Forge?

After a few games where I had my dice repeatedly hobbled by Tenacious Boar, it's a hard pass.

Re: TDC Strategy Guides

Daggerheart's guides were all cut and pasted from BGG users' contributions, and BGG issued a cease and desist, which is why all the links are broken.

Re: Eminent Domain Expansions

I don't think that is quite true. But yes, there are about 2-3 really crazy good techs--Data Network, Adaptability and Logistics--and yes the game can become a tech race real fast. I find Logistics the most frustrating, since in a close game the extra turn at the end is usually enough for the player...

Re: Strategy guide for Troyes

All of Daggerheart's strategy posts were removed because of complaints that they were copied without permission from BGG users' posts. If you go to the Troyes page on BGG just go to the Strategy forum and you will find the same posts Daggerheart copied.

Re: How to hire a citizen ?

Just take the action you want with some dice. If it requires a citizen, the program will ask you if you want to hire for 2 influence or (if you already have citizens in your supply) whether to use them. Or click on a citizen already on the board to use it.

Re: Not clear what die is used with Alien Archaeology (+$4 with yellow die)

Yeah. I had this happen to me several times and eventually gave up playing the game on BGA in part because of this.

Re: The Ruhr: A Story of Coal Trade (Ruhrschifffahrt 1769-1890)

That's really great news.... I don't know this game but look forward to trying it out, but I'm also pleased to hear Capstone Games is licensing adaptations at BGA, as that means that Arkwright and Three Kingdoms Redux might be possible one day.... I'll head over to the BGG thread and make an entry :)

Well, I was unclear whether it was a bug.

Trashing tech cards and keeping the points

I notice that a lot of players will get a tech card for points then immediately Research/Streamline it out of their deck. But their score in BGA's implementation doesn't drop. Is this correct? The rules as written say that your final score is the sum of "the Influence from your Influence tokens...
