Re: What to do on account deletion?
Why does any player need more than 1 account? I can think of a few reasons, but only very extreme edge cases. Its worth noting a the same user name made another post https://boardgamearena.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=36596 asking for 'advice' which was presented in a way which suggested they were not...

Re: *~* Found a MAJOR CHEATER - what to do if mods dont
Does this even work? Normally, winning a game against the same person increases your ELO, but decreases theirs so the gap becomes higher and higher up to the point you no longer gain ELO from them. And BGA said they intended to start reducing the Elo gain further on subsequent wins. I find it very ...

Re: Why did I not advance?
I assume that the player id's are conferred sequentially by account creation date, so xorsyst_uk has the earlier creation date. We can say for certain that the rule here is not that the older account advances. That has always been a very popular conspiracy people but most people have assumed that i...

Re: Small World
BGA does not make these decisions. Individual developers need to get permission from the publishers (sometimes publishers will hire a developer to get the game implemented).

Re: Uptick in disposable accounts?
Op literally posted the game in question in which it does happen. No it didn't. As the game itself notes "The other players won this game and get 100% of normal ELO points (because 100% of this game was played before the incident)". The OPs claim of a significant reduction in Elo did not ...

Re: Uptick in disposable accounts?
... a significant reduction in win experience/ELO because someone bounced just before the game finished. That doesn't happen. If a game is at 99% completion it will be 99% Elo. The only issue would be if they time out in a multiplayer game so the other players draw. Not seen this any more than it e...

Re: Why would I lose elo for this game?
... even though I had won (via score) it was considered a tie (despite a player being kicked/quit at 100% game progression). You hadn't won, it was considered a draw *because* a player was kicked not despite that. This is a known issue with multiplayer implementation. A player can improve their pos...

Re: Can we stop saying 'gg' when It clearly wasn't!
All valid reasons, but it's still a pet peeve. Wait until the game actually ends! I will say something in certain games at the point where it is impossible for myself or my opponent to win. I don't see the point in pretending that the game isn't over because some book keeping is necessary, an...

Re: Why would I lose elo for this game?
https://boardgamearena.com/table?table=509193125 Apparently yellow was expelled/quit at the very end of the game, the game was even scored and I had won; just curious why I lose elo here? If you hover you can see the calculation. You lost more for drawing with the first player than for beating the ...

Re: Concede before 50%
It's especially unfair in games that never get to 50% progress before the end. That is just a bug in the game. The 'quit' and 'concede' are site-wide features that work fine, but the game progression is worked out individually by each developer. The same is true for games in which you agree to a dr...
