From my experience, Catan communities on pretty much every platform eventually turn toxic. There are currently 4 major ones and on all of them you see bad behavior like this. The way how player interaction works seems to enforce it.

Here's an idea - if they really want to try to indicate potential cheaters, for anyone in the top 10 of a game, they could indicate what percentage of their games are against their most frequent opponent. When compared with others in the list, that could give an indication if that person is farming...

This explanation is REALLY weak. Trying to solve cheating issues by punishing honest players as well. And being OK with it. This isn't even solving the issue in the long term. There will likely be many other ways to cheat the system. Just create more users and bypass all these automatic checks.
