To get Beta status, the developer must click on the promote button, but BGA will not let them do so until the tutorial has at least 10 ratings while maintaining a 4.3 star average. Someone (NOT ME) wrote a tutorial. I took a look at it. It might be good enough to give you a general idea of how the game is played.
