Proposed Expansions

Dear BGA Licensing Staff: Why is it that certain games, like GoSu or Seasons, get multiple expansions, while other popular ones never do? I'm thinking of Puerto Rico, Race for the Galaxy, and others in particular. I know for a fact that Puerto Rico has two expansion that introduce lots of variation ...

Re: Ridiculous lag recently

Same here, for upwards of two weeks. When it takes 3 minutes, consistently, for the server to both stay connected and acknowledge my move, it makes me want to tear my hair out. It's partially an issue with coffee shop wifi connections, but 90% of my problems are coming from BGA server connections.

Why Does Through the Ages Hate Me?

Developers- You REALLY need to work on your server issues. I have a few favorite games on this website, among them recently is Through the Ages. However, when I play this game the server reliably does not behave. Check out my connection log in game #9710321, for example, the worst I've had it in a f...

Stone Age update

I highly enjoy the game Stone Age, but the best way I've ever found to guess the winner is by who has purchased the most cards. While cards are not officially used to calculate any score (like number of buildings, people, number of fields, etc.) it would be nice if they were tracked along with these...

Re: Soon...

While we are at it for new games, I wouldn't mind seeing Kingsburg or Vegas Showdown on the board. Kingsburg is another good dice game (like Stone Age, Troyes) and Vegas Showdown is a fun bidding game. Even more than this I want to see expansions to Puerto Rico, Race for the Galaxy, and others. Gosu...

Expansions

Although I love the variety of the games available on the site, it seems like some of the 'older' ones could do with some expansions added. Dominion finally got this (though last I saw it STILL hadn't updated the card images...) as did Gosu, but what about games like Race for the Galaxy? It's a good...

Dominion: the Intrigue Expansion

When will the admins get some pictures loaded for this expansion? Looking at the middle of the boxtop of the base game is all well and good, but I'd like to actually be able to SEE what they illustration looks like.

Thanks

Re: The Math of Can't Stop

One last thing not included: for each probability combination, there is a set number of times you can safely continue (push) before losing all progress (go bust): 16/36: 30 Pushes 15/36: 25 Pushes 14/36: 20 Pushes 13/36: 14 Pushes 12/36: 11 Pushes 11/36: 9 Pushes 10/36: 7 Pushes 9/36: 6 Pushes 8/36:...

The Math of Can't Stop

I sat down and ran some of the numbers for the Can't Stop game today, just to do it. The numbers give me hope, but the inane tendency of the dice roller to produce absurdly improbable combinations of numbers does not. I personally thing it has cursed me; as such, I have no intention of playing the g...

Re: Gosu Tournament Rules Variant

Agreed. Being able to play 3 cards from opening hand vs. 6 makes a vast difference. I have noticed this game can occasionally produce nice, contesting board states but just as often can create points of no return; more specifically, if you have no more cards in hand OR cannot play your cards, you've...
