Re: Leaving Hanabi when things are not perfect

The points you've stated are valid. I have played other games like 6 nimmt, and as soon as you start someone says "I didnt realize it was this version of rules, I really dont want to play this". I will agree to abandon and let them leave. I have seen other players force them to sit there for 30 minu...

Re: Max Sabs option for Saboteur

First let me say... THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! This really shows a sense of community. Just the fact that there is communication from the designer, though bga staff, all the way to us lowly players. Thanks Een for listening and helping to make this happen. I do think max sabs is mostly a Sabot...

Re: Leaving Hanabi when things are not perfect

I think hanabi is the only game that needs a penalty for abandoning games. I will admit I abandon my share, mostly because the game is less fun to continue than starting a new one. I think a reset of the elo system and a penalty for abandoning is warranted, and would be generally popular (since I ha...

Re: Max Sabs option for Saboteur

I always thought a better role than selfish dwarf would've been coal miner. A dwarf that wins if both coals are opened. At least it wouldn't be another role with the exact same goal.

Re: Max Sabs option for Saboteur

I am glad this thread was noticed. It's nice to know we were heard. Unfortunately, the tournament rules are not what we wanted, nor will they be popular. The fun we get from this game is deducing roles and working as a team...this cannot happen with selfish dwarfs. Their role cannot be deduced and t...

Re: Max Sabs option for Saboteur

Yorgad, I did assume the bga cannot make a rule change without the publisher's permission. My hope is for the publisher to see this thread and allow these changes. Their game gets played here more than anywhere else, so hopefully they will let their fans enjoy it to the fullest. Competitive scoring ...

Re: Max Sabs option for Saboteur

The more gold for 2 sabs against 5 diggers requires a way to make that happen at all player counts. An idea to implement this could be an additional 2 gold for saboteurs if saboteur is the role card not selected. I think the best max sab implementation might be to have the same amount of role cards ...

Re: Max Sabs option for Saboteur

Those who have mentioned the fun of not knowing the exact number of sabs in a game have a valid point. There is something to be said for a surprise late sab showing up. But so many times we play 3 rounds of lop sided teams, leaving everyone feeling like the game was a complete waste of time. Even th...

Re: Max Sabs option for Saboteur

This is easy to implement. Just have the number of role cards match the number of players, instead of one additional role card as it is now.

6 Nimmt long game

I would like to see a long game option for 6 nimmt. Each player would start with 100 points instead of 66.

This would help stronger players mostly because their consistancy over several more rounds could prevail even if they had one terrible round.
