I agree with most of what galehar and Nog_eentje_dan have said. Initially it may seem like high military and settling big military worlds is the optimum strategy, but this is not case. If XI wins (which I’m hoping is the case) then I think the invasion game should be included in all Arena games. That is, it should not be random like Takeovers in RvI. IMO the invasion game is what makes XI the best Race expansion, and removing it significantly changes the gameplay.

My vote for Season 4 would be for one of the other expansion arcs (either Alien Artifacts of Xeno Invasion). My personal preference would be Xeno Invasion with the Invasion game. I have a suggestion for solving one of the issues, why not applying the EAS / ELO points won or lost by chronological order? If you take into account the starting date of a game, you can implement a system that waits until your previous games are finished before updating your EAS / ELO points. This...

I can say as someone who regularly tests Alpha and Beta games that this would be a terrible policy for general turn-based games.
